This is Priya's first animation portfolio, with three animations. The next couple of months will be an intense period for her with several more animations like this and a full-fledged project. Her instructor was quite happy with her work. The first one gave her a huge amount of trouble and she drove her instructor and me nuts in the bargain, but finally she completed it quite well. Ignore the grammatical mistakes in the credits(she claims someone else did that). Please leave your comments.

Excellent animation, Priya.

This is a close competitor to the Jan 15, 2008 post (on vk-writtenword) for the best posting on Despos blogs.

Damn with faint praise ? I'm sure you can do better than that Nandita. Rack your brains and come up with something a little more lively.

Rest of you regulars (you know who you are) -- we're waiting for your 2 cents.

I'm having fun with this :-)

the work is certainly indicative of potential for becoming an effective animator. more sophistication in character creation, choice of music, credit graphics, etc will not hurt.

Very nice! I liked the music and the bright colors in the animation. Interesting line of work. I wanted to know what computer programs she used but that slide whizzed by so fast that except for Adobe photoshop, I couldn't really catch the rest.
Would definitely like to see more!

Thank you all for your comments & feedback:-)

@Nandita & Arvind
Thank you. Actually mistakes are there in the animation especially in timing,which i hope to correct in future animations.

@anonymous
Thank you for the comment. I would like to know who this is.

@Bha,vid,Sneha
Can we add animation to the curriculum @ SSB now.

@Sajiniakka
Excellent observation akka & thank you. That slide is purposely kept with less timing due to technical reason. The S/ws used are Autodesk MAYA,Adobe After Effects,Swis Max & Adobe Photoshop.

Thats wonderful!
great skills!

I saw your comment about time contraints. Next time provide a lengthier version, it would definitely show case your talents.

Interesting stuff. What's difficult about these projects... the concept/ idea or the execution ?

Siva: good to hear from you. Call sometime ! My number is 98801 37097. Hope things are going very well on Mathilda Avenue :-)
Priya says hi ...

Sunil: (G.Sunil or Sunil Varma ?) Well both. At the learning stage where Priya is, there is not much scope for doing very creative things, since doing the animation is time-consuming, so you don't have a lot of space/time to realize an idea. Learning the animation software is the primary thing she has been doing in the course
